Surrounded by an elegant Italian garden, Villa Vignamaggio is situates on a beautiful setting of olive groves and vineyards of Chianti, Italy, and is a typical example of rural renaissance life. Villa Vignamaggio was built in the fourteenth century, by the ancient Florentine family of the Gherardini, to which belonged the famous Mona Lisa of Leonardo da Vinci. Over the centuries the villa was the home of prominent Florentine families, rich in history and culture and was finally purchased in 1988 by Gianni Nunziante, the current owner, who has rehabilitated buildings and garden and has undertaken a project to restructure vineyards and wineries. All around Villa Vignamaggio, there’s a beautiful garden divided into two parts: pretty flower beds and hedges of geometric designs on one side, and rows of cypress trees and tall trees on the other. In the beautiful summer days the garden, with its smells and its shadows, is ideal for outdoor elegant receptions. An unforgettable wedding reception in a magic location, reserved exclusively for guests staying at the villa. For business events, Villa Vignamaggio offers an elegant and rich in history environment, where, after a busy day, guests can relax body and mind through spa treatments or the exclusive gourmet menu of Tuscan cuisine tailored to your needs. Despite having all the characteristics of a farmstead, where guests are welcomed into a family atmosphere, Villa Vignamaggio offers high-level hospitality rooms, apartments and suites, located in renovated farmhouses, and in the main villa.
